FORMER councillors in Tydd St Mary have been recognised for their years of hard work for the parish.
David Bays, David Beeton, Robin Howes and Judi Spinks were presented a certificate, champagne and a cake by current parish council chairman Coun Graham Lewis.
All four councillors stood down at the election in May but all remain community-minded and still work to improve the parish with various organisations.
Speaking at the presentation, parish clerk Karen Treacher thanked all past and present members for their continued support and help during her 17 years working with the council.
She told the group it had “always been a great pleasure” to serve the parish and thanked everyone for their best wishes, cards, wine and flowers.
She said she was looking forward to continuing as clerk for many years to come.
