A RAF display was spotted over South Lincolnshire on Wednesday lunchtime as it practiced a spectacular formation for the Queen’s birthday flypast.
RAF Waddington acted as Buckingham Palace for the day, with around 30 aircrafts flying in formation. The A15 was also used as an ideal dummy run of the Mall in London. On Saturday, a large formation of military aircraft will form up at Southwold, and fly via Suffolk Ipswich, Colchester and Chelmsford, entering the London City Control Zone south of Stapleford aerodrome. The flypast will be over Buckingham Palace at 1pm.
