Schools and nurseries across the area held fundraising events for Children In Need on Friday.
The annual Pudsey fundraiser is always well supported in South Holland and this year was no exception.
Students and staff at the Peele Community College in Long Sutton had a ‘spotacular’ day and raised £537.72 for Children In Need.
The reception area was transferred with ‘spots’ including staff members Jayne Simpson, Laura Bridger and Liz Hoyles. The spots continued into the social area and there was also a vast array of Pudsey-themed students.
A fancy dress competition was held and Tom Norton (Where’s Wally?) and Cameron Witton (Crocodile) were presented with their prizes by the spotty ladies Liz Hoyles and Jayne Simpson.
Teachers at Spalding Academy also reported an amazing day supporting Children in Need.
Houses created some small, classroom-based games such as guess the number of sweets, and also held cake sales in the Year Group yards with bargain selling at the end of the lunchtime to ensure their House raised the most money for the event.
The total amount raised was £1,168.38.
Assistant head teacher Nicola Hall-Rushton gave a special thank you to Sainsbury’s, students and parents for donating cakes and cookies and for making the fundraising a great success.
