POLITICS: So glad our MP is working to help the police

Have your say

John Hayes MP is on the ball (as usual) when he talks about police funding and crime (e.g. recent Hayes in the House
article).

Both he and Inspector Jim Tyner are right – crime is falling in our area and across Britain. The figures are undeniable and as Mr Hayes says few, if any, people fail to report burglaries or car crime – so the statistics must be true.

If Labour were to win, the nation will miss having John Hayes as a Minister and we would all miss your weekly Hayes in the House column

However, he’s also right that our county’s police remains badly funded and so I’m glad to read that our MP is working to improve this situation.

Good luck Inspector Tyner with your new role and good luck Mr Hayes too.

If Labour were to win, the nation will miss having John Hayes as a Minister and we would all miss your weekly Hayes in the House column.
