POLICE were called to a Whaplode childminder’s house – to talk to children and a group of childminders about staying safe!
The youngsters had great fun when PCSO Bev Robinson from Holbeach Police Station came to see them, as they dressed up in police uniform, had a look around the police car and even used the siren.
Whaplode-based registered childminder Louise Penney arraged the visit, during which PCSO Robinson talked about the police’s work and gave suggestions on staying safe.
Louise, recently awarded ‘good’ by Ofsted inspectors, said both children and adults had a wonderful time. She added: “The children all got to stay for a picnic on the farm and were allowed to go and visit the animals afterwards.”
