A Bourne dog charity that lost three of its animals in a fire has found lots of love for “man’s best friend”.

Three Counties Dog Rescue has been inundated with food and bedding from people after a fire two weeks ago which claimed the lives of Staffordshire bull terriers Teal, Dave and Daisy.

Trustee Max Mauchline said: “We’ve had a terrific response from people locally and abroad who saw our appeal on social media.

“We’ve had a steady stream of people bringing food and bedding down to us, along with a team of volunteers to help clear up the messafter the fire.

“It’s been a hive of activity and I’d like to acknowledge the response from all of our helpers and everybody who have given up a lot of their time.”

Anyone who can held in donating storage equipment to the charity can call Max on 07708 589792.
