Planning a festive Christmas in Spalding

Tulip Radio is pleased to be helping organise Spalding’s Christmas celebrations. A month of music, entertainment and other festive activities will start on Tuesday, November 15 in the Market Place.

Eagerly anticipated attractions include panto performances and live singing and dancing around the Christmas tree. We are working with South Holland District Council and the market traders to help put together a fun programme of activities for people of all ages to enjoy while they shop for Christmas presents and stocking fillers. The Christmas lights will be bright and the tree all ready for the festivities to begin.

For 2016, the plan is to coordinate a series of smaller performances before Christmas to create a wonderful festive atmosphere in the heart of the town—adding to the social, leisure and shopping opportunities that Spalding has to offer. These are great activities for the whole family to mark the start of the festive period.

On Saturday, December 3 Spalding Marching Ambassadors and Peterborough Morris Dancers will join contemporary dance groups and singers; Saturday, December 10, 17 and 24 will each feature a wide range of activities, including a selection of familiar local star acts with a few surprises thrown in from panto characters! If you’d like to be part of these activities and would like to come and sing with a group around the Christmas tree throughout December on Tuesdays or Saturdays (you will need to be able to provide your own safety-tested equipment) call Jan on 01775 712400 or email jan@tulip-radio.co.uk
