WALKER Peter Sibley (18) clocked up 17 miles by lapping St Mary’s Church, Long Sutton, 100 times and raised £300 for church funds.

Peter, son of Father Jonathan, completed his trek in three-and-a-half hours. In 2010 he walked 24 miles around the church and good wishes were sent then by Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams.

The Spalding Grammar School pupil hopes to go to Jesus College, Cambridge, in September to study law and recently won school prizes in economics, music and Latin.

The church held its St Thomas’s Fair on the same day and raised a further £300.
