The family outside the Ship Inn at Surfleet Seas End have been recognised by a relative, Mr Buck.

He says they are (from left) Sarah Wingad (1869-1910), proprietor Mary Ann Wingad (1841-1927), Mary Ann’s husband William Wingad (1838-1900) and an unknown man on the right-hand side.

This answers Beryl Brakes’ query over whether the people could be members of the Summerfield clan.
