MORE than 50 members of Pinchbeck WI made a big splash by taking a little walk as part of a national challenge.

Nationally, WI groups have been invited to take part in the Little Walk, Big Splash challenge to walk 209 miles – the distance from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogovh in Wales to the Olympic Stadium as the crow flies.

Pinchbeck WI has taken up the challenge with gusto and on Monday members of the walking group decked themselves in red, white and blue to clock up another 50 plus miles – one each for the 52 walkers – making their current total around 150.

Vice-president Hope Wells said: “Some of those who took part are in their 80s so full credit to them.

“We had a good time.”
