EIGHT-year-old Keira Gilman enjoyed an experience of a lifetime after winning a VIP trip to the Paralympic Games.

The youngster, from Moulton Seas End, snapped up one of 100 prizes offered with Happy Meals by McDonalds, to visit the games, meet some athletes and go behind the scenes – as well as stay in a top London hotel and see the capital’s sights.

The prize included tickets to the Mexico vs Germany basketball game and a chance to learn some skills behind the scenes with top players.

Keira was also presented with her own gold medal by former Paralympic wheelchair basketball medal winner Kevin Hayes.

Mum Dawn Adams said: “It was absolutely fantastic. We have watched all of the 2012 games and couldn’t get enough.

“Keira loves sport anyway so this rea;lly was a brilliant experience for her.

“We loved every minute of it.”
