SOUTH Holland District Scout Council held its annual St George’s Day Parade on Sunday, moving to Holbeach for the first time.

Between 70 and 80 scouts from 1st Long Sutton, 1st Moulton & Whaplode, 3rd Holbeach Town, 1st Spalding Town, 4th Spalding and 2nd Pinchbeck, their leaders and parents marched through the town to All Saints Church in Holbeach, where a service was held.

Spalding Marching Ambassadors played in the parade, which was joined by MP John Hayes and Coun Pauline Seymour. The district chaplain the Rev Peter Garland led the service, and presentations were made to David Allen (Silver Acorn), Heather Dadswell and Paul Taylor (Chief Scout’s Commendation).
