SAD SIGHT: I frequently walk my dog along the South Holland Main Drain, says reader Steven Wood.
“Deeming it best, due to large machines present; I walked east from Peartree pumping station instead of my normal westerly route. I had walked no more than 50 metres to view the work of art attached on the opposite bank. This really moves me close to tears and my feelings deepened as about 150 meters further along there was another tipping. Our countryside should be cherished and respected not raped and abused. At this time when we remember our forefathers that lost their lives in the great war we have to see things like this – what would they think if they could see the things some do to their beautiful country today? Sorry for the rant but I am and will remain incensed by this moronic practice.
