LORRY CRASH: It’s time to make A151 in Whaplode safe

I refer to the article regarding the demolition of the Spice Cottage restaurant in the village of Whaplode last Monday.

I note that the vehicle responsible was a heavy goods truck – how lucky folk are that this did not seriously injured or indeed kill a resident.

Is it not time those responsible for traffic make a serious effort to make the A151 in the village safe?

Is it not strange how Weston has been bypassed?

Today pavements are overgrown with garden shrubs in Churchgate, forcing pedestrians to take to the road.

Both South Holland District Council and Lincolnshire County Council seem oblivious to the dangers in spite of the passage of access adjoining the local playing field.

This has been reported by email to both councils some time ago.
