Pupils from Surfleet Seas End Primary School enjoyed a Fruity Friday at the end of half term back in 2007.

They took part in the national day by experimenting with a wide range of fruit and buts to create exotic smoothies.

The Fruity Friday campaign was run by the World Cancer Research Fund with the aim of getting people to eat more fruit and vegetables and understand the role they play in reducing cancer.

Teacher Anett Baxter told us at the time: “They all got to try a whole variety of flavours.”
