Takeaway restaurants across Bourne and the Deepings are being encouraged to attend the Food Standards Agency’s free coaching and food awareness courses.
Managers of outlets across the area with a food hygiene rating will be getting a letter through the post advising them to take advantage of the available sessions.
The classes will offer general advice and solutions for a rage of issues from cleaning and storage, to food preparation and refirgeration, as well as tips to help restaurants improve their rating.
The letters apply to those food businesses across South Kesteven with a rating below three as the council is keen to improve standards and bring under performing restaurants up to par.
Coun John Smith, South Kesteven Dstrict Council’s cabinet member for healthy environments, said: “This is a real opportunity for takeaways to climb up the hygeine rating system.
