Drivers in Bourne and the Deepings are being warned to slow down after a spate of reports to police about speeding vehicles.
Police claim that a number of drivers have been regularly seen speeding, putting themselves, other drivers and pedestrians at risk.
The problem is worst during school runs in the morning and afternoon when children are being dropped off and picked up respectively.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “The problem of drivers speeding in the area is really becoming a concern and we are doing everything we can under police powers to combat the problem.
“But we are urging people to simply think about their speed when they get in their car and not to let their feet go down in a 30mph zone.
“We all know that speed limits are in place for a reason and, in particular, why they are in place in built-up areas where there are usually a lot of people around.
“These speed limits are there to protect people in the area, especially around schools, and we want people to think if they are really in so much of a rush that they can deal with the consequences of killing a child.”
