A lot of children will have a much happier Christmas this year thanks to Spalding High School pupils.
Some of the students have been busy wrapping presents for the 66 boxes of Christmas gifts they donated to Operation Christmas Child.
The charity collects shoeboxes filled with presents to be sent to children who would otherwise receive very little for Christmas.
Year 7 students Ellie and Beckah, helped Mr Wilson (Food Technology) and Mrs Lees (Learning Resource Manager) with the organisation and promotion of the event, including a presentation to fellow students in assembly and manning a stall promoting the shoebox appeal.
Beckah was keen to take part because she said: “Somewhere in the world there is another child who has now got hope and joy for the future.”
