RESIDENTS at an old folk’s complex in Crowland are having to struggle out of a back door where there are steps or get out via a fire door.
Frank Barrett, who takes old folk on outings, said the front door at Trinity Court was smashed in high winds several weeks ago and it is causing big problems for residents who are in wheelchairs or unsteady on their feet.
A council spokesman said the entrance was shut down for safety and security reasons.
He said: “A new door was ordered at the earliest opportunity. Unfortunately, because the door has to be specially made, we will be unable to install it until January 4.”
