LONE walker Oliver Hill with his dog Lucipher trekked the A17 through South Holland enroute for John O’Groats this week in aid of Help for Heroes.

The German-born resident of Sittingbourne in Kent had set off from home on July 17.

He accepted the offer of a bed at Fleet from Anglia Hotel boss Harold Payne, who supports the charity and works for services’ veterans.

Oliver said on Monday: “I suffer from proriasitic arthritis, but after living in the UK for 13 years I want to give something back like our soldiers do.”
