Old songs of the Middle Ages made up a memorable part of a concert at St Mary’s parish church, Long Sutton by the West Norfolk Community Singers (pictured).

The prestigious amateur choir with members from all over the King’s Lynn area returned to the church to sing a seasonal repertoire.

The singers had already performed there in the 2012 flower festival, and are linked to the church by their assistant conductor William Moss who’s the organist at St Mary’s.

The vicar Father Jonathan Sibley said: “The concert was really well attended and the medieval songs matched the sound of our organ, which is pre-1800 and constructed entirely from wood and leather.”

2013 concerts start with the flower festival in April.
