Have your say

I am looking for families who are descendants of my great aunt Mary Jane Skinner (nee Burbidge), who was born in 1849 in Cambridge and died in 1934 at Pinchbeck.

I am looking for families who are descendants of my great aunt Mary Jane Skinner (nee Burbidge), who was born in 1849 in Cambridge and died in 1934 at Pinchbeck.

She married Robert Skinner (born 1842, died 1917) in 1873 in Manea, Cambridgeshire.

They had seven children, Sarah Jane (born 1872, died 1954, who married Arthur Bramble in 1895; John William (born 1874, died ?); Mary Ann (born 1878, died 1882); Mary Elizabeth (born 1882, died?), married John Creasey 1908; Robert Skinner (born 1884, died?); William (born 1887, died); George Henry Skinner (born 1892, died?). The Skinner Family lived in Northgate Road, Pinchbeck.

Mary Jane was the only living relative that my great grandfather left in the UK when he migrated to Australia in 1859 with his second wife Jane Hartley Brown.

He remarried in Australia and had another six children, of which I am a descendant.

He left Mary Jane with her maternal grandparents Thomas and Elizabeth Shivers in Cambridge. Mary Jane’s mother died a week after she was born.

Any help would be most appreciated.
