Sutton Bridge residents can find out what’s happening in their area after a generous donation from Bakkavor’s Wingland Foods factory.

The notice board was presented to Sutton Bridge Parish Council in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

It was unveiled outside the Curlew Centre and is based on a design by disabled and vulnerable adults from the joinery department of the Pelican Trust, Lincoln.

A spokesman for Wingland Foods said: “We receive many requests for donations and these are all considered by the Community Fund committee.

“Last year, the committee decided that it would like to make a donation to Sutton Bridge to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

“They approached the parish council and members suggested a noticeboard to go outside the Curlew Centre and we are very pleased with the design chosen by the Pelican Trust which provides meaningful work experience for adults in Lincolnshire.”

Parish council chairman John Grimwood said: “It’s a magnificent noticeboard made specially for the parish council and we’re very grateful for the donation from Wingland Foods.”
