Moulton residents are invited to nominate people who have made a positive contribution to the community for an annual award.
The 2012 Citizen of the Year prize will be presented at Moulton Community Centre on December 4 at 6pm and the parish council is urging people to help it find someone deserving of the award.
Recent winners have included Lorna Poll for her work in Moulton Chapel and former parish councillor Geoff Wilson who raised money for various organisations in Moulton Seas End.
Parish council chairman Andrew Woolf said: “This is the fifth year we have hosted the event and people think it’s a good thing to give some recognition to people who go out of their way to do something better for the community.”
The closing date for nominations is November 30 and for more information, call parish clerk Helen Worth on 07949 319559.
Residents are also invited to an open afternoon, hosted by Moulton Community Association, at the community centre and Moulton Village Hall this Saturday between 2pm and 4pm.
