TRUSTEES are appealing for community groups and residents to come up with new ideas and uses for Wake House in Bourne.
The Annual General Meeting of Bourne Arts and Community Trust will be held at Wake House in North Street at 8pm tomorrow night and trustees hope to use the date to get in touch with possible new users for the venue.
The Trust is registered with the Charity Commision to “advance education, relieve poverty and sickness and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life” for people in and around Bourne.
It cannot do its own restoration work because it has not been given a lease or ownership from South Kesteven District Council.
Secretary and trustee Greg Cejer said: “The Trustees currently support the activities of over 46 organisations in the town. We have every intention of continuing the service to our community that we have maintained over the past 12 years and look forward positively to many more years of activity.
“We have a strong trustees team who are committed to work to ensure that we are able to support even more activities but are always looking for more help.”
