Pupils and staff at Cowbit St Mary’s Primary School have welcomed new headteacher Hilary Brewster as she aims to promote success in the classroom.
Mrs Brewster, originally from Wolverhampton but now living in Sleaford, started her new job last Monday and succeeds Maureen Martin who worked at the school for almost 16 years.
“I’ve had a fantastic time so far and both pupils and staff have made me very welcome,” Mrs Brewster said.
“We’re very blessed in having a wonderful school, with fantastic children and teachers, and there are lots of exciting things we want to do here.”
Mrs Brewster has been teaching for 20 years but her previous role was with Lincolnshire School Improvement Service, helping pupils across the county in their education.
She said: “We want pupils to be successful in an excellent and outstanding school.”
