Shoppers and letting agents in Spalding have been hearing about a new good landlords scheme launched in the district.

South Holland District Council is working in partnership with DASH Services (Decent and Safe Homes) to raise awareness of the regional landlord accreditation scheme, which promotes good property standards and practices across the private rented sector.

A recent roadshow event at Sainsbury’s in Holland Market was complemented by visits to letting agents around the town.

Linda Selvey, DASH Services Manager, was pleased with the response.

She said: “We are delighted to be launching DASH Landlord Accreditation in South Holland.

“Membership is currently free so we are urging landlords in the district to apply as soon as possible so they can start reaping the benefits.”

Landlords who sign up to DASH Landlord Accreditation are awarded a quality mark for demonstrating their skills in property and tenant management.

Membership is free and members benefit from advice and guidance as well as a variety of financial discounts and access to a support network with a comprehensive resource library, newsletters and events.

Coun Malcolm Chandler, district council portfolio holder for Housing, said: “This is an excellent scheme which offers good benefits to members, and assurance to tenants that a landlord is of a reputable standard.”

Landlords can apply directly by visiting www.dashservices.org.uk or calling 01332 640324.
