Young footballers at Surfleet Primary School really feel like a team now they have their own kit.
Head teacher Laura Pipes says the mixed team had to “beg, borrow and steal” because they didn’t have their own kit to play in at a football tournament. Now, thanks to UK technical manager for Intergreen/Superflora Danny Carvalheira, whose daughter Melissa is a pupil, the team has a kit in school colours. Danny, whose company recently built houses for workers on their Zambian farm, said: “What we have done could be a good example. If we could persuade local companies to sponsor things like this it would be a better world.” Photo (TIM WILSON): SG300115-108TW
