A NEW Spalding day centre for older people and people with dementia is celebrating getting the seal of approval from Lincolnshire County Council.

Fulney Hall Day Centre was set up in the listed building on Springfields roundabout after county council-run day centre and respite care home Halmer Grange closed last year.

Former member of Halmer Grange staff Mandy Crisp employs four experienced former colleagues there with the aim of keeping their skills and expertise working for day centre users in the area.

She said: “Recognition from the county council means a lot to us.

“We have capacity for up to 12 people a day and we’re open from 10am to 4.30pm from Tuesday to Friday, with some places still available.”

Anyone who is interested can telephone 01775 722422 for a free taster day to experience day-care.
