Police investigating the brutal murder of Alan Wood have put out a fresh appeal for information leading to the arrest of his killers.

The 50-year-old was butchered for his PIN numbers at his home in Lound, near Bourne, and his bank cards were used at cash points.

His body was found at lunchtime on Saturday, 24 2009. As the third anniversary of his death approaches, police remain as determined as ever to bring his killers to justice.

Det Supt Stuart Morrison said: “There are several active lines of enquiry being pursued in this case and we still believe there are people out there who can help us with our enquiries.”

Police have set up the first ever UK website dedicated to solving a murder – www.alanwoodmurder.com – and are urging people to view the evidence.
