PARENTS who returned to the classroom to brush up on core subjects have been rewarded for their progress.
Twenty five adults attended a Family Learning celebration at St Paul’s School, Spalding, where they were presented with certificates by South Holland and the Deepings MP John Hayes.
The event marks the end of the school year in which the adult learners have gone into school every week to take part in English, maths and science courses, finding out how their children are taught and taking qualifications.
Thea Croxall, family learning manager for Lincolnshire County Council, said: “Family learning is a great way for parents to find out how children learn in school and to take adult qualifications.
“I am particularly proud of these learners who have shown commitment to their children and to the school and who have achieved outstanding results.”
The successful programme is the result of a partnership between St Paul’s School and the Family Learning Service.
