Moulton parish councillors are on standby to have an extraordinary meeting after deferring a decision on its precept for 2013/14.
The precept is the slice of the council tax which is awarded to the parish council to spend on things such as cemetery and churchyard maintenance.
But after a brief discussion at their meeting on Tuesday members agreed the information they needed to make an decision on how much to ask for was not yet available because of a delay in a local government funding decision from central Government.
The decision will now be made at its next meeting in February, unless a decision is required sooner.
At the meeting, members also co-opted a new member to fill one of two vacancies on the Moulton Chapel ward. Businessman Dave Briggs will take up his seat on the council at the next meeting.
