Spalding may not be having a flower parade this year but Moulton Chapel is gearing up for its very own festival.
The village is hosting its parade of decorated floats on Sunday, May 4 – the traditional tuliptime weekend.
Heading the parade will be a Moulton Chapel Tuliptime Queen, Prince and Princess, to be judged at the village community centre on Thursday, April 3 (6.30pm) – just turn up.
The lucky winners (aged over 11 for the queen, over eight for the prince and eight to ten for the princess) will also take part in Springfields Festival and Tulipmania on May 3, riding around the site on a train.
In the meantime, the committee has organised a pub quiz to raise extra funds. It’s at the Jolly Farmer, Moulton Chapel, on Sunday (7pm). Teams of up to six can enter at £2.50 per person.
