A MOTORIST has appeared in court charged with dangerous driving following a collision on the A17 at Fosdyke Bridge.
Nikolajs Lazuconoks (27) appeared before magistrates in Grantham on Monday.
He was arrested following the collision between a Volvo and a Volkswagen Golf at about 8.15pm on Friday.
Lazuconoks, from Goole, who was the driver of the Volkswagen, was released on conditional bail and is due to appear at Spalding Magistrates’ Court for a committal hearing on March 29.
No plea was entered.
Police say a passenger in the Volkswagen, a 28-year-old man, was taken to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital following the collision, where he was operated on for internal injuries. He remains in hospital.
The other passengers in the car, a 27-year-old man from Wisbech, a two-year-old boy from Goole and a woman from Goole, were taken to hospital to be checked over.
The 57-year-old male driver of the Volvo, from Edenthorpe, near Doncaster, was also taken to hospital.
He was treated for non-life threatening injuries and was released on Monday.
A passenger in the Volvo, a 59-year-old woman from Edenthorpe, is not believed to have been injured.
The road was closed for more than two hours while officers investigated and cleared the scene.
