Brave souls ventured into a lost world to experience Fright Night at the Night Maze in Whaplode on Saturday night.
Navigating around the maze by torchlight in the dark was tricky in itself, but dry ice fog reduced visibility ... and then there were hazards in the form of monsters leaping out from the 8ft high maize plants.
Maze owner Lance Whittington said: “We have monsters leaping out, but then families also scare themselves. They dress up and jump out at one another. It’s a good evening.”
This is Lance’s tenth year of creating a maze in a 12.5 acre field at Sholtsgate and so far no one has ever had to be rescued through being completely lost.
This year’s theme is the Lost Maze of the Dinosaurs and features two really big monsters, a tyrannosaurus rex and a pterodactyl.
The maze will be harvested after the second Fright Night on Saturday, which starts at 6.30pm, and you can book by calling 07770 055681.
