Mobile police station in town centre

SHOPPERS can speak to police underwater search divers, dog handlers and members of the neighbourhood police team when a mobile police station comes to Sheep Market, Spalding, from 9.30am to 4.30pm today.

Officers will be on hand to do free cycle marking in a bid to stem the rising tide of bike thefts in the town.

We recently reported that 44 bikes were stolen in the two months to the beginning of August.

Spalding police community support officer Amanda Waterfield said the day is part of the police “It All Adds Up Campaign” and they will be joined by firefighters if operational commitments allow.
