Military night raises buckets of cash for Help for Heroes

A MILITARY theme night has raised more than £600 for Help for Heroes.

Held at Spalding’s Loaded nightclub, the event was well supported, and has gone a long way towards reaching the club’s target of raising £1,000 for the charity this year.

Club manager Dave Charlesworth said: “Considering we hosted the event the week before Flower Parade and the weather was not helpful, I think the event was a success.

“Our charity drive for Help for Heroes is now close to the £600 mark;.

“We had some army-clad promo girls selling special shooters and taking donations and they did brilliantly over the weekend. We donated £1 from each shot they sold, which made up a sizeable chunk of the money raised.

“We’re in a good position to exceed our target with similar events scheduled for summer and Christmas.

“We would like to thank all the customers who showed their support.”
