Melissa McCarthy continues her rise into one of Hollywood’s most bankable female stars – and her latest comedy jaunt should solidify that.

After the success of Bridesmaids, Identity Thief and The Heat, she stars as a luckless woman on an out-of-control downward spiral: she’s broke after being fired from her job at a greasy burger joint, which leaves her with no money to pay for her battered car, and to make things worse, has just found her husband cheating with the next door neighbour.

But hitting the road with her hard-drinking grandma (Susan Sarandon) – who turns out to be her only source of cash – could be just the thing she needs to escape her troubles, and get her hapless life back on track.
