Have your say

It’s your chance to see eye to eye with an emu or any one of 350 animals this Sunday.

The Exotic Pet Refuge at Deeping St James is holding the first of the season’s open days (10am-5pm).

The centre can only open to the public for six days each year, but the events help to raise funds to continue the work of giving a home to all kinds of animals.

Meet a fox cub – a newcomer at the sanctuary for exotic animals and native wildlife – or any number of cats, owls, hawks, parrots, parakeets, mammals and primates.

In addition, the refuge is laying on children’s entertainment, stalls, a tombola and refreshments for visitors.

Entry is £6 for adults and £3 for children.
