Year five from Ayscoughfee Hall School visited Burghley House in Stamford to experience a Tudor Christmas.
Their exciting day began when they met Henry VIII and ended with a chilling ghost story in a candlelit room.
They learned about Tudor customs, the children alsoplayed traditional games and even had a go at Tudor dancing.
Form teacher Sue Wayman said the children looked amazing in their costumes, especially in the setting of a real Tudor House.
Mrs Wayman said “ It was a really enjoyable day which really brought their history topic to life.”
