A MOTORIST has been charged for dangerous driving following a collision on the A17 on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the A17 at Fosdyke Bridge at about 8.15pm to reports of a crash involving a Volvo and a Volkswagen Golf.
A passenger in the Volkswagen, a 28-year-old man, was taken to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital where he was operated on for internal injuries.
He remains in hospital.
The other passengers in the car, a 27-year-old man from Wisbech, a two-year-old boy from Goole and a woman from Goole, were taken to hospital to be checked over.
The 57-year-old male driver of the Volvo, from Edenthorpe, near Doncaster, was also taken to hospital.
He was treated for non-life threatening injuries and was due to be released yesterday (Monday).
A passenger in the Volvo, a 59-year-old woman from Edenthorpe, is not believed to have been injured.
Nikolajs Lazuconoks (27), from Goole, the driver of the Golf, was later arrested and charged for dangerous driving.
He was due to appear before magistrates in Grantham yesterday.
The road was closed for more than two hours while officers investigated and cleared the scene.
