PROUD pet owner Tracey Newton and her husband Robert won a framed portrait of their pet cat Mincemeat after winning the Spalding Guardian Pets Factor competition.

Mr and Mrs Newton, of Sutton St James, also won a £50 voucher to spend at competition sponsor Rooke’s Pet Products and a top quality cat bed filled with food, treats and goodies.

The four-and-a-half-year-old moggie beat off opposition from hundreds of other cats, dogs and even tortoises in our telephone vote.
