HEALTH: Arrive as a patient, leave as a friend
For those of you who like to put Pilgrim Hospital down, please read on.
Yes, there may be some under-performing departments but one department is outstanding – that is the Boston Breast Unit.
Recently I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the unit. From the initial tests being done through to the operation and aftercare, I could not fault the service I received there from Consultant Mr Abdel Rahman through to the health care assistant.
On every visit all the staff were polite, helpful, respectful, friendly and always with a smile which was much appreciated during a difficult time. You arrive as a patient and leave as a friend.
New, up-to-date specialised equipment is needed, so if you are fundraising this year, consider the breast unit for what you raise.
Not only would you have fun raising the funds but you may also be saving a loved one’s life as the unit covers the South Holland area.
Also, many thanks for the excellent care given to me by the staff on Ward M2 after my opereration. It was much appreciated.
