Good luck to football club

I write in regard to the remarks made by Mr Toynton of Spalding United Football Club.

I say to him if you can come to some agreement with the developer of Holland Market for a new football ground on the outskirts of Spalding, good luck to you.

But this must not be done at the expense of the people of Spalding to whom the Sir Halley Stewart Field was left in perpetuity.

We, the people, will then be able to use this field as it was intended, not just for playing football.

It would be good to know where our local councillor Gary Taylor stands on this matter – he seems very quiet.
