Development is a good thing

GETTING rid of Sir Halley Stewart Field can only be a good thing for Spalding.

If the field was given to the community to use then why is it only used for football?

Like other sporting areas in Spalding, it is getting run down and even vandalised. Why do the council not do anything with the upkeep on these areas – is that not what we are paying for?

The town needs facilities where people of all ages and sexes can benefit, and this is where the new development comes in.

Spalding town centre is getting tired and drab, and when businesses want to update buildings they are not allowed to.

This land was given to the people of Spalding not to a few who want to play football and put a social club on it, Oh and when they are not playing put some locks on the gates to keep the people of Spalding out it belongs to the people of Spalding. So remove the wall surrounding it and locked gates get rid of the club and turn it into a park with trees a lawned area a few park benches something and somewhere to go for all residents similar to ayscoughee but in town near to bus station would be ideal.
