BOWLS: Don’t forget Thomson!

I would just like to point a mistake with your editorial on page 33 of the Free Press on January 1.

You describe Jean Cowles as being the oldest bowler when in actual fact Jean has collected her award for being the oldest female bowler.

Spalding already has a bowler senior to Jean who’s name is Thomson Holden and last year at the grand age of 96 was part of a triples team to win the British Heart Foundation tournament.

Both of these are competitive bowlers are worthy of their team positions.
