MR Les Morland Inkley, of Donington, died on June 8 in Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, at the age of 95.
Mr Inkley, a farmer all his life, was born and educated in Donington.
He enjoyed playing whist and solo and was a life-long supporter of Aston Villa FC. He played football and cricket for Donington in his younger days.
Mr Inkley was predeceased by his wife Phyllis.
He leaves daughters Joan Chappell of Spalding and Janet Mountain of Swineshead and sons Jim Inkley and Paul Inkley, both of Donington.
A funeral service was held at Boston Crematorium with a thanksgiving service at St Mary and the Holy Rood Church, Donington.
