We had a wonderful turnout for the gasifier car parade protest – people stood outside their homes waving and shouting encouragement. I counted 65 vehicles.
The residents who stood on the village green waving their banners said the vehicles travelling through all blew their horns and waved.
It was great to see the villagers turn out in force to fight their cause.
Many people made their own placards and are keen to know what the next protest will be, which I think might be in Spalding.
Thanks to the police who helped to ensure the protest was conducted safely, it all went off without a hitch.
I would like to thank Nick Thomas from Kwik Signs who donated the excellent placards and everyone who took the time to come out and support WSBPG (Wash and Sutton Bridge Protection Group).
