Woman injured after two-vehicle crash in Pinchbeck

UPDATE FRIDAY 10:30AM: Two women were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Pinchbeck.

An Isuzu pick-up driven by a 64-year-old woman from Surfleet collided with a Vauxhall Corsa in Crossgate Lane at about 2.30pm on Wednesday.

The woman and the driver of the Corsa, a 73-year-old woman from Donington, were both taken to Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, with bruising.

WEDNESDAY 5:10PM: A woman has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Pinchbeck today.

It happened in Crossgate Lane just after 2.30pm when emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the scene.

A woman trapped in one of the vehicles was freed by firemen using hydraulic cutting equipment and then taken to an as yet unidentified hospital.

Police closed the road for at least two hours while emergency services worked at the scene, causing delays at its junction with Wardentree Lane and Enterprise Way, but it is now reopen.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said the women’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
