Witness plea after A17 collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a head-on collision at Fosdyke Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened on the A17 Long Sutton road at 3pm and involved a silver Renault Clio and a red Ford Fiesta.

There were two casualties - a 55-year-old man from Saracen’s Head with a suspected pelvic injury and a 19-year-old woman from the Boston area who had a minor seatbelt injury.

The man was treated in Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital but not detained.

Police believe a vehicle in front of the Renault Clio mounted the verge to avoid the Fiesta.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident 215 of December 29, 2012.
